10 States & counting. Texas just passed their own privacy act, making it the tenth state in the United States to do so. Even though this has passed, it does not go into effect until late 2024. Analysts are still reviewing the legislation and as soon as the reviews are in on it's level of privacy, there will be a blog.
The GDPR & The CPA (California Privacy Act) are currently the strictest regulations.
What that means for you...
Most large corporations aren't messing around with these regulations. The fines aren't worth it. So the trend is to abide by the strictest regulations per privacy category.
